Prince

Prince. The party was on last Friday! Check out the pictures I was not allowed to take of a true artist. My feet hurt for an entire day from dancing so much in heels.

Open House

So when I host a party I don't ever want people to stay too long. I mean that as nicely as possible. The main reason is because my place is very small. I live in a condo in Vancouver with paper thin floors.

Yesterday, for the second year in the row, I hosted my Holiday Annual Open House. People come by between 3:00 - 7:30pm to eat all my baked goods and drink my hot apple cider (with or without the rum). It's super fun to catch up with everyone before they leave for Christmas.

I really enjoy it but having about 35 people come through your house in an afternoon really can make a mess. Now I'm blogging rather than cleaning up. I really do need to get to the dishes done... or at least off my counter.
This is about half the pile. The dishwasher is already running on it's second round.

Filled up my new wine rack dad built me. Plus a few empty bottles.

The apple cider was a hit. None left.

Christmas gift. William and Kate collector's tin. Just what I always wanted.

Walk of Shame

Finally, someone is making the walk of shame classy. Not that I would know anything about that.

Decorations

It's being to look a lot like Christmas! I picked up a super cute nativity scene in Cartagena while on vacation in October. It totally fits with the rest of my holiday decorations. This year I did not put up half of the garland that I did last year. Why? Because I was vacuuming up sparkles and garland until mid-March. Not fun.

My first girly bling! It was a gift.

It's not mistletoe but it's festive Ivy.
Lockshin has been trying to eat the stars.

Pep talk

This morning, I received this video from a colleague to my work email. It's his version of a pep talk. He recommended that I put my earphones on before playing the video. I recommend the same.

Tidy, Sleepy Stretch

I'm feeling a little trendy this morning as I read the New York Times coverage of my neighbourhood. This even cover one of my favourite restaurants, Grub. I took my parents there almost three years ago and told them it was great.

Read all about my sleepy stretch of Vancouver here. There is even a slide show.  Or see my slide show  from when Binz came to visit.
